چکیده

This study investigated the degradation characteristics of propylbenzenes (PBZs, including isopropylbenzene and n-propylbenzene), with high leakage risks ecological hazards, by a newly isolated marine microalga named Rhinomonas reticulata S6A which is promising candidate for eco-friendly bioremediation from marine. About 72% 56% n-PBZ i-PBZ can be degraded after 7 days in culture. The acute toxicity (96h - EC 50 = 2.38 mg/L) was higher than that 3.65 mg/L). growth inhibition kinetics this strain were consistent Edwards model ( R 2 0.998) Aiba 0.999). optimal concentrations calculated to 2.42 mg/L 2.78 mg/L, respectively. trends PBZs conformed zero-order kinetic model, k increased initial concentrations. moderate increase inoculation density could accelerate PBZs, maximum specific rates r ) 1.116/d (n-PBZ) 1.230/d (i-PBZ) at 10 4 cells/mL, while over-inoculation (initial microalgae more 5 cells/mL) not conducive pollutants. There much data on biodegradation aquatic environment, so it would worthwhile try apply new explore fate PBZs.

Biodegradation of Polychlorinated Biphenyls by and Isolated from Contaminated Soil

Polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs) cause many significant ecological problems because of their low degradability, high harmfulness, and solid bioaccumulation. Two bacterial strains were isolated from soil that had been polluted with electrical transformer liquid for more than 40 years. The isolates were distinguished as Lysinibacillus macrolides DSM54Tand Bacillus firmus NBRC1530...

Bioremediation of Bisphenol A by Glycosylation with Immobilized Marine Microalga Amphidinium crassum ——Bioremediation of Bisphenol a by Immobilized Cells

Glycosylation of bisphenol A, which is an endocrine disrupting chemical, was investigated using immobilized marine microalga and plant cells from the viewpoint of bioremediation of bisphenol A. Immobilized marine microalga of Amphidinium crassum glucosylated bisphenol A to the corresponding glucoside. On the other hand, bisphenol A was glycosylated to its glucoside, diglycoside, gentiobioside, ...

Bioremediation of Bisphenol A and Benzophenone by Glycosylation with Immobilized Marine Microalga Pavlova sp.

Cultured cells of Pavlova sp. glycosylated bisphenol A to its mono-glucoside, 2-(4-beta-D-glucopyranosyloxyphenyl)-2-hydroxyphenylpropane (9%). Use of immobilized Pavlova cells in sodium alginate gel improved yield of the product (17%). On the other hand, Pavlova cell cultures converted benzophenone into diphenylmethanol (49%) and diphenylmethyl beta-D-glucopyranoside (6%). Incubation of benzop...

Daya Bay Neutrino Experiment

The observation of neutrino oscillation in experiments involving solar, atmospheric, accelerator, and reactor neutrinos has demonstrated that the masses of neutrinos are nonzero, and neutrinos with different flavors can mix with each other to form the mass eigenstates. Neutrino oscillation has provided the only compelling evidence thus far for new physics beyond the standard model (SM). The sma...
